The upcoming workshop and panel titled “The Future of Cancer: Awareness and Action”, arranged with the Scientific Activities Committee and hosted by Department of Chemistry, College of Science at Salahaddin University-Erbil on May 12, 2025, at 09:30 AM, will bring together experts in oncology, molecular physiology, medical physics, and chemistry to address the challenges and advancements in cancer awareness, prevention, and treatment. Featuring distinguished speakers such as Dr. Abbas Burhan Salihi, Dr. Hawro Taha Hamza, MSc. Ibrahim Jalal Mustafa, and Dr. Sangar Salih Ahmed, the event underscores the critical need for collaborative, interdisciplinary approaches to cancer care. This initiative aligns with the SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), particularly in its aims to reduce premature mortality from non-communicable diseases and strengthen health systems through awareness, education, and scientific engagement.
