On 12th of February 2025 a seminar titled (Evaluation of Cretaceous Tertiary limestone and clay for cement in Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq) that published in Iraqi Geological Journal implemented by D. Avin Ali in Earth Science & Petroleum Department of Science College/ Salahaddin University. This published paper evaluates the suitability of Cretaceous-Tertiary limestone and clay in the Erbil area of the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, for use in cement production. It analyzes the chemical and mineralogical properties of the raw materials to determine their quality and compatibility with industry standards, concluding that the local resources are promising for cement manufacturing.
