This workshop was hosted by the Directorate of Health and Safety at the University of Salahaddin in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry, College of Science in an effort to enhance laboratory safety and security standards in the region. By bringing together academic chemists and government officials, the event featured a comprehensive analysis of the current state of laboratory infrastructure in the region, with specific focus on the challenges of hazardous waste disposal. The workshop concluded with a panel discussion where all parties collaborated to propose sustainable solutions for safer and more secure research environments.
