On April 17, 2025, the Environmental Science and Health Department at the College of Science, Salahaddin University hosted an academic workshop titled “Climate Fluctuation and Drought.” As part of the program, Mr. Rebaz Kawa presented a seminar entitled “Solar Energy as an Alternative Power,” with a focus on the environmental impacts of urban development and the potential of solar energy in mitigating these effects.
The event highlighted the university’s ongoing commitment to environmental education and sustainability, aligning with both the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Climate Action Plan. The main objective was to raise public awareness and promote practical, actionable strategies for tackling current environmental challenges.
